Seniors FAQ

What should I wear? Bring something dressy and something casual. Solid colors and longer sleeves will help to emphasize the face and not your clothes. Most of all, wear clothes that you like! Feel free to bring sports uniforms, cheer gear, or other props that help show who you are. Our extended session has unlimited clothing changes, and we recommend up to three changes for our standard session. We recommend styling your hair and makeup as you would usually wear it.

How long is the shoot? Our standard session (90 minutes) includes studio photos and one outdoor location. Our extended session (2 1/2 hours), includes studio and 2 or more outdoor locations. We shoot with professional digital cameras, and usually end up with about 30-40 images for the standard session, and 60+ with the extended session.

How much do senior portraits cost? We have two different sessions, and several different print package options. We would be happy to email you our full price guide - just give us a call or use the contact form on our web site.

What are good spots for outdoor photos? Our favorite and most popular is downtown Port Townsend. We also like the beach and bunkers at Fort Worden, and the soft greens and playground at Chetzemoka Park. We love to try different locations too; if you have a favorite spot that means something to you (maybe a ballfield, rooftop, your house?)- let us know!

What if it rains? Schedule your senior portraits in late summer or early fall in order to take advantage of the longer days and good weather. Rescheduling due to bad weather is OK, and it's usually simplest to reschedule both the indoor and outdoor sections for another day.

How long does it take to see my photos after the session? About 4 or 5 business days after your session we'll send you an email with a password to your own private on-line gallery to view your photos.

What about retouching? Full retouching is included with every print you order from us. Skin blemishes, fly away hair, etc. are removed, skin is smoothed, color and cropping are closely checked. We'll make sure you look your best in every image!

How do I get my yearbook photo? All you have to do is tell us the number of the image you would like to use. Choose an image that's your best "face" and one that shows at least your full head and shoulders without too much distraction (i.e. no sunglasses, hats, hands close to the face). We will submit your yearbook image to your school.
