Thanks and goodbye to Ivey Lab
I’ve sent them countless rolls of slide film over the years, and they never damaged or lost a single roll. Ivey closed down with almost no notice at the end of June. By the time I found out, they were already closed and I had more film in the mail on the way to them for processing! I’m somehow not surprised that they have closed - it’s obvious that we’re in a digital world these days, and even Kodak is already discontinuing some film formats. I still shoot slides for artists that need slides for show entries and gallery submission, and also photograph paintings with 4x5 film. With the closing of Ivey, my 4x5 film is now going out of state for processing!
Here is an article in the Seattle PI about Ivey’s closing.
Thanks to Ivey and the Ivey Staff for all the years of great service and for helping support the Northwest’s professional photo community!
